Hou yacht harbour is one of the best-placed harbour in Eastern Jutland
The marina lies right on the way, so to say, regardless of whether you travel on the north-south route, or if you are eastbound towards Tunø, Samsø, or Sealand. The harbour area has gone from fishing village to being a charming tourist spot with great shopping, a pub and restaurants. At the harbour café you can even enjoy weekly live music.
The convenient store lies close to the harbour, making it easy to stock up, and a new fuel station for petrol and diesel has just been opened recently. In addition, you will find great facilities for sailors in our new sailor’s lounge with modern toilet and bath facilities, free internet and various barbeque spots.
In the area you will find plenty of possible hiking and biking trips along the coast, or to the mounds of Bjørnkjær castle. If you enjoy fishing, give it a try at our outer pier, which provides a good spot for catching herring and garfish. Also, there are great beaches for bathing on both sides of the harbour and a playground for the kids.
From the harbour premises you can catch a bus to Århus and Odder, as well as a ferry to Tunø and Samsø.
