Close to the city centre of Aalborg, nearby the two bridges, lies Aalborg Yacht Harbour. The harbour is divided into two – the Western Boat Harbour and the barge harbour, and guests are welcome in both. Here you will be welcomed by a friendly atmosphere in this nice, central harbour with all the right facilities, as well as restaurants at the harbour quay.
Visiting sailors can freely use all the facilities such as the kitchen, the terrace and the barbeque facilities. A supermarket is near by, as well as a boating equipment shop and a shipyard.
Aalborg Yacht Harbour lies near by one of Denmark’s largest cities and there are lots of things to do. A walk along the fjord is an experience in and of itself, and it leads you right into the centre of town, with it’s shopping street, Jomfru Ane Gade, and an abundance of shops and restaurants. Don’t forget to visit the open air waterpark Limfjordens Badeland.
Close to the harbour there is Fjordparken with nice training facilities. Fjordparken also hosts many circuses that visit the city during the summer. Parking behind the harbour is free, and is often taken advantage of when the crew on a boat is swapping. Many foreign sailors make use of the great location near Aalborg Airport and the highway.
The harbour is home to the Limfjorden Sailing Club and Vestre Baadelaug (Western Boat League).
