Hasle Marina is also a large fishing harbour with active commercial fishery, where it is possible to buy fish direct from the fishing vessels. In 2012–2013, a total of DKK 25 million was invested in the port for the benefit of the some 2,000 overnight stays every year at the port by visiting yachters.

The port now invites visitors to enjoy the loveliest harbour bath in Denmark and a new canal environment. The Port of Hasle has become a kayaking hotspot where it is possible to hire and/or learn to paddle a kayak. Hasle features a variety of shops and restaurants, including a new lifestyle café on the waterfront, an interesting new activity area and the smokehouse museum at the end of the new canal to the south.

There is also a brand-new maritime museum named “Columbus” where the canal meets the harbour. Old ship engines are started up every day during peak season at the museum.

The town also features the Grønbechs Gård cultural centre with changing exhibitions of craft art. The new in-town beach, with an outdoor hot tub, now features a beach café as well. South of the harbour are splendid sandy beaches and vast wooded areas with former clay and coal pits, where the interesting cultural history of Hasle Klinker is presented.
Bornholm’s rocky coast begins just north of the harbour area.

The port’s modern service building contains a lounge with Wi-Fi, a coin-operated laundry and self-service information point with always up-todate weather forecasts and the code for bathing/ toilet facilities. The harbour is safe to enter day and night in all kinds of weather. The harbour also has plenty of space for visiting yachters and is well sheltered if the Isle of Sunshine is hit by uncommon bad weather.
